Jenny Mays

Jenny comes from a wealth of experience with three prestigious degrees including BSN, MSN and the newest addition under her belt-Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) from University of Indianapolis in 2024. Apart from her solid educational background, Jenny has been a faculty member at University of Saint Francis where she taught numerous courses (including, but not limited to) Advanced Pharmacology, Roles and Issues for Advanced Practice Registered Nurses, and various other FNP clinical courses. Moreover, she has experience working in telehealth and virtual clinic settings and has been an incredible asset by providing extra need in both of these areas during the pandemic.

Jenny is a true Hoosier, born and raised in Northeastern Indiana. She is married with three boys and lives in the country where she greatly enjoys the outdoor lifestyle. One of her favorite hobbies is gardening, especially promoting native pollinator and plant species. Baseball is her favorite sport which she loves to play with her family. 

Jenny is strongly devoted to her line of work. Her interests encompass a wide range of things in her field including Genomics; where she utilized genomics to individualize/personalize treatment plans and engage patients on their journey to being healthy. Her passion also lies around social determinants of health where she focuses on increases access to healthcare while decreasing cost, providing primary care to families to encourage health and wellness for everyone as well as holistic medicine approach where she promotes physical, emotional and mental well-being through finding the root cause of the issue and fixing it together. 

She is also an active member with numerous organization within the state and nationwide that includes: Coalition of Advanced Practice Registered Nurses of Indiana (CAPNI), American Association of Nurse Practitioners, American Nurses Association, Indiana State Nurses Association and Sigma Theta Tau-Xi Nu Chapter.
